Degree programs at our Blaine, MN, college
If you are hoping to begin a career in the criminal justice field, we offer two programs that can help you accomplish your career goals.
- Associate degree in criminal justice (AAS). Students can finish this degree program in 18 months if they study full-time. They take classes in subjects such as law enforcement, investigations and psychology. They also complete general education classes that strengthen their communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice (BS). If they study full-time, students can complete this degree program in three years, or 12 quarters. They develop in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the criminal justice field and complete general education classes to hone their problem-solving and communication skills.

Employment as a law enforcement officer may require additional training as determined by your state’s Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST). The criminal justice program at Globe University/Minnesota School of Business does not fulfill Minnesota POST requirements; however, it does qualify in some other states. Our program staff can advise you and help you identify suitable training opportunities.
