Many students believe they cannot afford college. However, a majority of students at Globe University/Minnesota School of Business (GU/MSB)-Blaine receive some form of financial aid. Whether they are awarded a college scholarships, obtain federally subsidized loans or get aid from private foundations, most students receive the financial help they need.

Scholarships
GU/MSB-Blaine awards scholarships to eligible students. Our financial aid representative can help you determine the programs for which you may be qualified. Scholarships include:
- President’s Scholarship. For an eligible high school senior with a 2.0 GPA.
- Director’s Academic Scholarship. The amount of the Director’s Academic Scholarship award is determined by student performance on the Career Profile Assessment test.
- High School Advantage. This program allows an enrolled high school senior to get a head start on a college education by taking up to four courses tuition-free during the senior year.
- Military Advantage Scholarship. An eligible military student may receive an award equal to 10 percent of the cost of tuition and books each quarter.
- Purple Heart Scholarship. Service members and veterans wounded while serving in the Gulf Wars are eligible for the Purple Heart Scholarship.
- Military Service Scholarship. An eligible military student who was severely wounded while serving in Iraq or Afghanistan may receive up to $5000 toward tuition.
- Military Active Duty Scholarship. Qualified active duty service members and their families will receive scholarships for the difference between the current tuition rate and $250 per credit.
- Business Alliance Scholarship. This scholarship awards up to 10 percent of tuition to eligible students employed by one of Globe University’s business alliance partners.
- Professional Certification Scholarship. This scholarship helps eligible students pay for professional certification exams.
- Community Service Scholarship. This program awards up to $2000 to eligible students with GPAs of 3.5 or higher, a 90 percent attendance rate and a record of community service.
Federal loans and grants
The federal government awards grants and loans to eligible students pursuing higher education. These include the following:
- Academic Competitiveness Grant
- Federal Pell Grant
- Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)
- Federal Subsidized and Unsubsidized Stafford Loan (STAFFORD)
- Federal Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students (PLUS)
- National Science and Math Access to Retain Talent (SMART) grant
- Veteran’s benefits/GI Bill
Private loans
Banks, credit unions and savings and loan institutions may offer loans to qualified students. The terms vary, as do the amounts available.
